Garden Game Changer: An in-depth review of of RailScapes Plant Traps

I was asked to do a review on this great product. I am not being paid for this review. The opinions expressed are my own.

This product goes perfect with my  blog post ‘The lazy girls Garden’ If you missed it you can catch it all right HERE

I met the Founder Deborah Holtschlag creator of Plant Traps on line. We got chatting and when I told her I had a blog she quickly sent me some of the Plant Traps to try for myself.
Some of us have been to Europe and have fallen in love with the European balcony gardens. Deborah was no expception. She came up with an amazingly easy idea on how to create this look inside or outside!

From Porch to Paradise: Deborah’s Innovative Solution for Expanding Green Space.

Deborah’s main job is being  a mom, followed by an artist. One day, as she stepped onto her porch, she was met with an overflow of planters courtesy of her gardening enthusiast husband. She desired more living space, while he craved more room for his beloved plants. In that moment, an idea blossomed – to create a shelf that extends the deck floor beyond the railing for elegant borders. (Photo-top right) Then she expanded her vision to include multiple layers and developed a clever clip that harnessed the power of tension, grip, and torque for floating gardens.

Reliable and Resilient Plant Traps.

These are sturdy and have stayed put. I was worried about watering them…would they start slipping down the railing? They didn’t not even after that very heavy rainfall we had on Tuesday evening. Wasn’t that a beaut? I love a spring thunderstorm.

Check out RailScapes™  HERE, Happy customers have posted some terrific photos for you to be inspired.

I have mine set up right outside my sliding doors. It is nice being able to look out at my balcony and see some colour and not just a bunch of boring railings. They will be so pretty once the plants fill in and spill over the edge.

Elevate Your Gardening Plant Traps.

Use Plant Traps indoors, outdoors, or anywhere you have spindles, and elevate your houseplant obsession to a whole new level…literally! These are a game changer for indoor gardening enthusiasts.

Tool-Free Installation.

Secure your plants effortlessly with Plant Traps. There is nothing awkward about installation and the best part is that there are no tools required. Not even the infamous IKEA Allen key. 😉 Simply squeeze the anchors to position them between two railing posts and release. The anti-slip/scratch bumpers keep the plant securely in place without leaving any marks on the spindles.

Plant Traps come in two sizes to accommodate various sizes of spindles.

• .5″-.75″ generally fit metal rail posts
• 1.25-1.5 generally fit wood & vinyl rail posts
Measure spindle for depth (back to front) for sizing
The larger size works on 1″ spindles up to 10 lbs.

I am thrilled to bits with my Plant Traps and will definitely be ordering more of them.

What a great idea! I live in an apartment and am plant crazy. I use boxes that clip on the top of the railing but using them blocks my view of the lake. This is a much better idea for me. Thanks.

Ohhh…I never thought of that. You are right. Typically when you sit on a balcony you are looking along or just under the railing. These would definitely help with that as you can put them at any height you want.
Buy lots!!! 😉 You could have an entire ‘wall’ of flowers and plants. Lots of privacy.
Good luck with your balcony Lori and have a beautiful day. 😊

I wish there was a way for me to show everyone the hardships I go through to display all of my summer plants and flowers on my balcony. 😂 I have different heights of stools lined up everywhere. They take up so much space. I LOVE this idea. I might have enough room for guests now 😂

Hey Mare!!! Thanks for stopping in. Thanks, also for the photos of the funny face garden pots!!! They are hilarious! I have been trying to find them on line. No luck so far. Once I find them I’ll add them to a post. Wouldn’t a balcony full of these make you happy everyday? 😂
